A Talikud Island lie in southwest coast of Samal Island has excellent scuba diving sites and a handful of quiet but rudimentary beach resorts. Talikud Island has a wide variety of soft and hard coral gardens that is home to numerous exotic small tropical fishes. Not only can small tropical fish, larger marine life also be found in here like barracuda, tuna and jacks. Divers can also see fusiliers, sea horse, morays, sea urchins, garden eels, wrasse and parrotfish.
This site is located in the north of Talikud Island which drops off to 45m. Excellent variety of corals can be found in here and it is the home to variety schools of smaller tropical fish. Whip corals, gorgonians, large sponges and soft corals can be seen in this site. Divers will also encounter lion fishes, razor fishes, juvenile sweet-lips, sea snakes, and colorful reef fishes. If you’re lucky, you will encounter turtles, whale sharks and even sighting of a dugong.
This dive site is located in the west coast of the island. Coral Gardens is also known as "Linosutan", the name of the barrio fronting the site on Talikud Island. This site has a sandy bottom slopes. In here an excellent variety of soft and hard corals which house plenty of exotic tropical fish such as garden eels, wrasse and parrotfish. Diver will also encounter lots of anemones with resident fishes and shrimps, altheas, damselfishes, fusiliers, butterfly fishes, tube worms, sea stars, and sponges. Enjoy watching the ribbon eels, cautiously eyeing you and the flounders covering themselves with sand.
